The brewery is located in Affligem, Belgium and is imported into the US by Fisher Beverages International, White Plains, NY 10606-1955.
This is a medium to dark ale registering at 7.0% alcohol/volume.
The nose is very interesting. Molasses. Nutty. Malty. Rich. There is a particular note that I cannot put my finger on. If you have an idea, please feel free to drop me a line.
The color is a rich--I image that word will pop up again--medium to dark amber. Pretty. Clear. The head is very full and clings longingly to the sides of the glass.
Initial flavorings of malt, a moment of sweet syrup followed by a short light, bitter, malty finish. Well conditioned bubbles tickle the tongue. Complex. Nutty.
Medium to heavy body, and gets richer as it warms.
Delicious. As the bottle says, "perfect beer to sip and enjoy slowly."
I give give this a nearly perfect 49, Excellent. Will have to pour it again soon!
