dive #: 139 |
date: 22 November 2005 time: 13:33 |
max. depth: 35.2 m
dive time: 41 min
notes:
Found the rock again. Counted 30 gorgonians along in a 5-meter band along the north side of the rock heading west along a sandy anchorage between 30 and 35 meters (100-115 ft) . The sandy bottom at the west end of the rock changed to rocky rubble.Top of rock at 22 meters.
Then headed southeast towards the wash rock for some neat terrain. Saw a white sea cucumber XXX large cowry, dungeness, my first swimming ling cod, an anenome eating a starfish, lots and lots of corynactus and hydrocoral (and staghorn bryozoans) on this dive. Communed with the rock fish in the kelp at the safety stop.
