dive #: 134 |
date: 22 October 2005 time: 11:06 |
max. depth: 30.5 m
dive time: 37 min
notes:
Went out on Dave Mackiewicz's boat with Glenn Davis, Mike McCarthy, Leon Kindler, and a couple of Dave's friends and their dog. Fog was really, really, thick in the morning. Swell (2-3 feet) and wind were minimal. Report had mentioned that swell and wind were going to act up tonight and tomorrow but we didn't see any sign of it yet.
Beautiful spot. Prop bubbles blue. Viz huge (~20 m). Cabezon, a young ling, a raspy gorgonian. Lots and lots of hydrocoral; one with at least a dozen kelp crabs hanging out within. A quarter knot of current was manageable but kept us close to the anchor.
