Notes on Revision Control

Here are some papers and references I've written and picked up over the years.

• Software Conventions and Process for Start-ups

  This is my latest paper on coding style and process that facilitates team code development. It focuses on Java, but includes principles that can be applied to other languages.

• CVS References

  CVS is my current revision control system of choice. This link has all the information you need to obtain and use CVS.

• RCS vs. SCCS

  A comparison of RCS and SCCS (from the Unix FAQ). This was written before I knew CVS. Perhaps it was written before CVS even existed.

• Revision Control Systems

  This is a very old paper that talks about ADC which I do not even remember. There is still a good bibliography in here though.
